Cotton & Canal at Riverside Mill

Danville, Virginia

Danville is a great southern town that is coming back to life with all of the new businesses happening downtown. What was once the original Riverside Cotton Mills and former Dan River Research facility, has been transformed into the River District Tower. The Main building became a large orthopedic and medical practice with lots of patients and staff, surrounded by historic industrial brick architecture full of character and charm. The goal for the North Annex, now Riverside Mill, was to establish a successful restaurant and venue complex, considered to be Danville’s best by locals and visitors. After 5 years in the making, the dream finally became a reality. Riverside Mill has a large three story glass atrium entrance, featuring an elevator and open staircase design.

Located on the ground floor, Canal at Riverside Mill is a 3,750 square foot private banquet venue with a 2,150 square foot patio and lawn. With a beautiful contemporary feel, the white walls and black accents are lit with vintage Edison-style bulbs to provide a warm, festive atmosphere. The venue also has a caterer’s kitchen, complete with multi-prep areas, ice maker, large two door refrigerator, warming cabinet, and dish machine, making it a perfect space for any event or celebration.

Upstairs on the 2nd level is Cotton at Riverside Mill, a 4,250 square foot dining venue with a 680 square foot al fresco. This restaurant offers an eclectic dining experience featuring premium burgers, salads, fire-roasted pizza, a fully stocked bar and a host of beers on tap. The eating deck overlooks the Dan River, while the inside offers a cozy private dining room for those special occasions.
