Frank Roane Apartments

Lynchburg, Virginia

Frank Roane Apartments was originally built as the Lynchburg High School in 1899. Architectural Partners (AP) converted the building into elderly housing in 1980 when the area was made a historic district. At that time the existing roof was replaced and served the building well for twenty eight years. In 2008, AP inspected the roof which included shingles, metal hidden gutters, downspouts and associated flashings. It was determined that removal and replacement was required. Metal gutters were restored, shingles replaced, downspouts, and flashings replaced.
